according to propper SNG play in the early stages of a sng we are in survival mode. There is no need to blow out 380 chips early on against a middle pair or sth on a coin flip. No, we want to survive longer and wait for a better situation to get our chips involved and RAISE our sng-winning-equity to get into the money.

The above hand would be just a gamble ... I like the play. I would also have layed that down and saved my chips. IMHO - good code and behaviour in this hand.

I also think unless we are committed and we are NOT in this hand, we must call only in this hand, if there is a small bet in front of us, or we abord mission and fold! Cant raise here against possible straights and flushes and full-houses, trips, sets. Lol so much can beat us

Hi nothing wrong with any of those plays.

first one you had AQ and were not pot committed all in with that is only going against AK AA KK or a high pocket pair so you folded.


Secolnd hand you just got unlucky as if you check the log you are pot comitted on the river and short stacked so 2 pair all in good move just unlucky

Is he really comitted? It is borderline ... BB 150 , below 10 Big Blinds left. A two pair hand at the river. In live play, I would have folded this probably and shoved soon thereafter.

I in the end agree with mikebo, but it is borderline and with all the info we have in this hand I would not have played it this way.

I can imagine however that in the long-run this behaviour could be +ev ... we will see how the testing continues ... I have now around 65 beginner sng's played and the results are good.

As you say borderline committed however under 10BB are you folding 2 pair on te river or shoving and hope iE a fold or that the hand has not been made.

You are then in a position of having to shove again with possibly a lesser hand soon after anyway. but I could have a look just to make sure its right with the code

THIS IS A BUG! We are getting 39 to 1 odds on our call! How can you say it is a gamble to call an preflop allin with AQ getting 39 to 1 odds? It is just 10 more chips to call!

Let me take a look at this and see what the code did as if 10 chips was all it had to call it should have made the call.

Can't find the code that would fold in this situation but I will issue a temp fix by adding some backup code in the autoprofileholdem file and post it up later. I will add it into the next full update due next month.
